Featured on Green Wedding Shoes: A Free-Spirited Vineyard Wedding in Portugal

I’m so excited to share one of my favorite weddings ever – a stunning, free-spirited vineyard celebration in Portugal that broke all the traditional rules! This beautiful day was featured on the renowned Green Wedding Shoes blog, and today I’m thrilled to showcase it here with exclusive photos and behind-the-scenes details.

One thing you have to know about me as a wedding photographer is that I live by the phrase “Do it your way.” I say this to my couples until they get tired of me: Be your authentic selves. This is your day.

As Cher put it; “If I want to put my tits on my back, it’s nobody’s business but my own. ” Icon! 

Danya walked down the aisle wearing -and rocking- this pink blush gorgeous dress with mirror pieces from Chotronette, can you blame the grooms reaction when he saw her for the first time?

This whole wedding was a dream for me as a person who loves pretty things but also as a professional. I found myself surrounded by the lush vineyards of Northern Portugal and working among excellent professionals whose work I absolutely adore. Starting strong with make-up and hair-styling done by the beautiful Jenny Make-Up Land , wedding planning done by the Mary Me team at the stunning and chill Monverde Wine Experience Hotel.

One of the most unforgettable highlights of this whimsical vineyard wedding was the spectacular air circus performance by the groom’s brother—who also served as the wedding officiant—and his girlfriend. Their breathtaking aerial act added a unique and magical touch to the celebration, perfectly reflecting the couple’s alternative and free-spirited style. It was a beautiful blend of artistry and emotion that left guests amazed and deeply moved.

As the sun set over the lush vineyards, the celebration moved to a truly magical fairy light dinner—an intimate and beautifully unique setup surrounded by twinkling lightbulbs that cast a soft, enchanting glow. Nestled in the heart of the vineyard, guests savoured delicious Portuguese wine under the stars, embracing the warm, romantic atmosphere. The bride had changed into a relaxed yet elegant white dress with a daring slit, perfectly matching the effortless, whimsical vibe of the evening.

Cheers to love, to friendship, to intimate-feeling weddings and to doing the things our way, even if that means breaking tradition in the best way possible!
