We planned everything down to the smallest detail. Olivia’s favorite author is Charlotte Brontë, so Jack’s cover plan was to pick up a copy of Jane Eyre. I arrived ahead of time to make sure everything was in place and the moment could unfold naturally. I was discreet — blending into the charm of the bookstore like any other tourist, ensuring every emotional nuance was preserved.
Then it happened.
