Over the years, a selection of my weddings and creative work has been featured by international wedding publications such as Junebug Weddings, Green Wedding Shoes, Loverly, Simplesmente Branco and I LOVE BRIDES, as well as photography communities, international contests and published books. These recognitions are always a lovely surprise and ultimately reflect the wonderful couples and places I have the privilege of documenting.

Portugal has become one of Europe’s most sought-after wedding destinations. Several of the weddings I have photographed in Porto, the Douro Valley, and across Portugal have been published by international wedding publications.

Selected images by KrystaPhotos have been recognized in international photography competitions including the Prowed Globe Awards.

• Award-winning 2025 newlywed portrait photographed by KrystaPhotos, recognized with a Silver Medal at the international Prowed Globe Awards wedding photography contest in the Newlywed Portraits category. The image blends editorial lighting, intimate posing, and contemporary wedding aesthetics.

• Black and white, creative double-exposure wedding portrait photographed by KrystaPhotos and awarded a Bronze Medal at the international Prowed Globe Awards wedding photography contest in the Black & White category. The image captures an intimate moment between the couple through layered reflections and cinematic composition.

• Wedding dance floor moment recognized with an Honorable Mention at the 2025 Prowed Globe Awards international wedding photography contest. The image captures the energy of the dance floor through long exposure movement and atmospheric lighting, highlighting the emotion and rhythm of the celebration.

• Couple portrait photographed by KrystaPhotos beside a traditional Greek windmill under a star-filled sky. The image was awarded as one of the best images of 2018 and won 2nd place at the international Greeka photo contest celebrating the Greek Islands, and the award included an all-expenses-paid trip to Santorini, one of the most iconic wedding destinations in Greece.

• Some of my photographs have also been published internationally as book covers, chosen by authors and publishers for their visual atmosphere and storytelling. Seeing my work featured on the covers of novels by writers such as bestselling author Thomas Harris and Portuguese author João Tordo has been a meaningful extension of my work as a published photographer, where photography meets literature, narrative and storytelling.
